Implemented Solution

During the project, an intranet based on the SharePoint Online platform was implemented. The following functionalities were developed:

• Creation of document libraries for different departments with custom permissions.
• Development of SharePoint Pages functioning as wiki-style knowledge bases to support structured internal information sharing.
• Design of communication templates and integrated communication interfaces enabling fast and consistent information flow.
• Creation and configuration of permission groups, including various user groups.
• Custom permissions for critical folders (e.g., Sales, Project, Service).
• Implementation of special permissions to restrict downloads (“Can’t_Download” role) and provide editing rights for content management.
• Detailed documentation on permission checks, additions, and removals, allowing the client to independently perform configurations and access management, making the solution cost-effective and sustainable in the long term.

Final Result:

With the introduction of the intranet:

• The organization gained a unified, secure, and transparent intranet interface.
• Access to documents is controlled, and individual permissions minimize the risk of data loss and unauthorized downloads.
• SharePoint Pages created a wiki-like knowledge base that supports internal communication and knowledge sharing.
• Communication templates and structured pages made internal information flow faster and more consistent.
• The system is scalable, allowing new groups and permissions to be added easily.
• Thanks to documentation and structured design, the client can independently manage permissions and configurations, reducing the need for external support and increasing cost efficiency.
