"What's in the toolbox and what to do with it"

Duration: 1 day (8*45 minutes)
Maximum number of people: 10 persons

Details

The groundwork for this workshop was laid in early 2019. Since then, we have held around 80 open sessions and outsourced training and workshops.

The aim of the training is to give managers and key users an overview of not only what Microsoft 365/Office 365 is made up of, but also the underlying interdependencies and how they can be leveraged in the planning and organisation of teams, collaboration and workflows.

During the training, we will go through the capabilities of Microsoft 365 apps and clicks, so participants will take home a working demo system at the end of the day to test the possibilities further.

#2 - Power BI training - Data to Information

"Modern data display, driver dashboards."

Duration: 2 days
Maximum number of people: 8 persons

Details

During the two-day training we will demonstrate the use and capabilities of Power BI through three practical examples:

- In the introductory case, we create a visualisation by integrating external and internal data sources. We are working with plain data, but it perfectly illustrates what subtasks are at work and how they logically follow each other.

- Load, prepare, and process a file with an incorrect data structure using Power BI. You will learn what the data structure and content of files and systems used as data sources usually look like. Furthermore, if they are not the most practical from a BI perspective, what can be done with them, how they can be transformed and how this process can be automated.

- Complex example where the data source could be a database (Access) or Excel files. Through this, we will go through each workflow from data acquisition, data transformation, visualisation and the use of Power BI online sharing capabilities, discussing when and what to look out for to ensure an automatic reporting process.

Themes

  • The concept, uses and principles of BI
  • The place and role of Power BI as a modern business intelligence tool in business processes
  • Power BI parts, how it works (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Online, Power BI Report Server)
  • The interface and its elements
  • Data acquisition and preparation (Power Query)
  • Principles of data models and their compilation
  • Writing calculations using the DAX language
  • Data visualisation principles and possibilities in Power BI
  • Data analysis principles in BI
  • Collaboration at work, or sharing reports with others (Power BI Online interface and possibilities)

#3 - Power Apps and Power Automate introductory training

PA-PA training - "no code, low code" in practice

Duration: 2 days
Maximum number of people: 8 persons

Details

This is a practical training with a little theoretical grounding. During the two-day course, participants will put together a solution to support a simpler business process. The prepared practical example will give insight into the technical steps of process digitisation and automation, in addition to design considerations. By the end of day 2, a working application, processes and automations working in the background will be completed and data will be collected by several SharePoint Online Lists.

Each participant prepares a solution, and in addition to the feeling of success, the example application can be looked back on in subsequent individual attempts
